Learn More About Southern Carpet & Interiors!

Southern Carpet and Interiors was founded in August 1988 by William L. Collins, Jr. (Billy). He wanted to build a business with a reputation as the best flooring dealer in the area. We are not a big box dealer but a local “Mom and Pop” dealer. We have a small but excellent staff to assist our customers.

Meet Our Staff

Brandon Collins, our son, has grown up in the business and is now the store manager. He manages the day-to-day store operations and makes most of our residential sales.

Odis Holt has worked with us since 1990. He is a full-time Captain with the Sanford Fire Department but still works with us on his days off and does our commercial work.

Helen Collins, Billy’s wife, came to work here in 1999 as the bookkeeper and also provides sales support.

Brandon’s wife, Casey, joined our staff in 2017 and assists customers in making product selections and sales support.

Cathy Watts has been with us since 2015 and assists with sales support on a part-time, fill-in basis.

We also have several professional installation crews, some of the best in the area! Most have worked with us for 15-33 years. They are honest, knowledgeable, dependable, and are a great asset to us.

How We Can Help

We carry a wide range of products, including carpet, ceramic, and porcelain tile, luxury vinyl tile and plank, vinyl, hardwood, laminate, window blinds, and floor cleaning products. We provide education about our products, decorating tips, and excellent customer service. We offer free estimates and measurements in our local area. We also provide rug binding and custom rugs.

Our slogan is “The Key to Quality.” We always try to live up to this slogan by providing quality products in a timely and professional manner with excellent customer service.

Please come by our spacious showroom at 512 Wicker Street in Sanford, NC. You may even be greeted occasionally by our greeter dog, Allie!
